The United States Consulate General in Erbil has resumed routine appointments for passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, and notarial assistance to American citizens. To schedule an appointment, click blue button below
Protecting public health is our priority, and we are observing COVID-19 health protocols. Appointments may be not be immediately available and we strongly urge scheduling in advance. The Consulate maintains strict sanitary standards on its premise, and all unvaccinated visitors and Consulate personnel are required to wear face masks during the appointment. Please note that if on the day of your appointment you are ill or have a contagious ailment, or have a fever or other symptoms of illness, you should reschedule your appointment online at https://evisaforms.state.gov/acs/default.asp?postcode=ERB&appcode=1 or by emailing us at ErbilACS@state.gov.

Consular fees can be paid with any credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or Diner’s Club) or with U.S. currency dated 2006 or later. Please note that the credit or debit card must be in the name of the applicant or the accompanying parent or legal guardian if the applicant is under the age of 18.
The U.S. Consulate General in Erbil continues to operate with limited staffing. Social distancing and other COVID-19 measures also limit the number of customers we can serve daily. Applicants who arrive at their appointment unprepared (without the required forms or fees) can negatively impact our ability to provide services to other customers. Applicants who do not bring an accepted form of payment to their interview will be asked to reschedule.
