Consul General Robert Palladino and Public Affairs Officer Gina Cabrera were thrilled to meet Inas, Israa, and Oshin – the three Kurdish sisters from Erbil who won 12 medals in a recent international weightlifting competition. Their mother and Ibrahim Qadir from Erbil Sport Club joined them on the visit. The sisters toured the gym at the U.S. Consulate General and lifted weights with Consulate staff. They also presented the Consul General with his own Erbil Sports Club jersey. The United States is an ardent supporter of women and girls in sports and the U.S. Consulate General is so proud of these strong young ladies.
