Consul General Robert Palladino visited Lalish Temple and met with Prince Hazim and the Yezidi leaders to express his condolences on the anniversary of the Yezidi Massacre committed by ISIS. Mr. Palladino said: “Today we honor the memory of those killed and we reaffirm our commitment to assisting those who are still affected. We stand together as an example of resilience and cooperation to ensure that such atrocities never happen again.” The Consul General then toured the temple to see the ongoing renovation process. The United States is proud to be funding the restoration of the sacred Yezidi temple.
