American Corners Program
Hosted in Iraqi universities and public libraries, American Corners provide welcoming environments where students, academics and other visitors can connect and learn about the United States. U.S. experts, U.S. government officials, and other Americans engage visitors on U.S. policy and society.
Visitors can find answers to questions about the U.S. and issues of global concern. Poster shows and other exhibits illustrate the diversity of American society. Academic databases, audio-books, publications, videos, and photos are available for use.
Iraq has American Corners in Baghdad, Najaf, Basrah, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk. You can contact the Public Engagement Team on AmericanCornersIraq@state.gov or IraqCulturalAffairs@state.gov to get more information on locations and hours of operation or visit the American Corners page to find them on Facebook.
